Origins - Reiklander

You grew up among the Reiklanders. Faith and certainty of purpose make for a people determined to give all they have. The Reik is made strong by the unwavering faith of its people. All who toil for the good of the Reik are determined to let the Kaiser shine his light into the darkness, so that he may drive back the evil of the world. You have lived your life in the hidden underbelly of the Reik. You have worked for gangsters, smuglers and thieves. You know your way around the autorities. A life of little opportunity and constant oppression have forced you to find your own fortune in unlawful ways.

Criminal Contacts

You have a network of criminal contacts you can call upon. Once per adventure, you can generate an NPC with 3 Favour who is involved in illegal business. This NPC will be helpful to you, but large favours will require something in return.

Uradel

You were a lower noble of the Klassenberg Reik. Your House was not as powerful as the Higher Houses, so you were forced to play the cutthroat politics of the Reik. Assasination, backstabbing, and shifting allegiance were common occurences for your family. You learned that when it comes to power, no one but your own can be trusted.

You come from a rich and influential family, and have the connections, education and mannerisms necessary to work in the upper crust of society. Such a position comes with privileges and duties, and leaves social markers that others can recognise. Your fellow elites will see you as one of their own, even across cultures. However, the common folk will recognise you as different from them.

It is much easier for your character to move among the upper stata of society, but more difficult to gain the trust of people from the lower strata. You automatically succeed on any etiquette (Performance) skill checks to engraciate yourself with characters from the Upper Strata. Conversely, you are sometimes required to make similar checks to interact with characters from the Lower Strata.

Hochadel

You were a high noble of the Klassenberg Reik. Your House was one of the most influential in the country, ruling over large swathes of land and commanding thousands of serfs and soldiers. Only the other Higher Houses could rival your power, and many would petition your House for favour. You learned what it takes to wield the reigns of power.
