History
Humans are the most recent species to arive on Dunia. They have been around 500 years. Humans arived feeling a dark force, that lead to an incursion onto the material plane. The gods offered humanity shelter on Dunia if they fought with them to defeat this great evil. After that war, Humanity settled across the world, helping to rebuild. Humans are found in every city, town and settlement, although they are rarely the majority. Humanity is known for their addaptibility, both in their mentality as their bodies. Many of the half-blooded peoples, such as half-elves, tieflings, and genasi are decended from humans who have had their physical form altered by either crossbreeding or the magical alteration of their bloodlines. In this way, humanity has greatly increased the diversity and influence of extraplanar entities on the peoples of the World.
Manerisms
Humans are the most adaptable people among the common peoples. They have widely varying values, and customs in the many different lands where they have settled. When they settle, though, they stay: they build cities to last for the ages, and great kingdoms that can persist for long centuries. An individual human might have a relatively short life span, but a nation or culture preserves traditions with origins far beyond the reach of any single human’s memory. They live fully in the present—making them well suited to the adventuring life—but also plan for the future, striving to leave a lasting legacy. Individually and as a group, humans are adaptable opportunists, and they stay alert to changing political and social dynamics.
