Firbolgs were a reclusive race of giant-kin who preferred to avoid contact with other sentient races. They were both the most intelligentand the most powerful of the giant-kin.
Physical Traits
Anatomy
Firbolgs resemble bestial giants, and the males sport great, thick beards. Their thick, tough skin is a palid grey and their hair, though it came in many colors, is usually either red or blond and worn long. A firbolg's voice is deep and smooth, and they tend to roll their consonants when speaking.
Firbolgs are typically over 3 meters tall, averaging a height of about 3.2 meters, and weigh more than 350 kg.
Biology and Aging
Firbolg grow slowly as children, but do not stop growing until well into their adulthood. They grow and develop slowly and steadily, until they stand as strong an tall as an oak. A Firbolg pregnancy takes about two years long. Firbolgs reached adulthood at about 30 years, and could live as many as 500 years.
Habitat
Firbolg live in wylde forests and mountain regions. They are a rare sight in cities and towns, prefering to live in the Wylderness.
Diet
Firbolgs are omnivorous, but prefer to eat vegetables and dairy products. They require about twice as much food as the average human to survive.
Sapient Traits
History
Firbolg were originally created by a pact between the Giantkin and the Fey spirits. During the Golden Age the two peoples came together and combined their forces to fight off incurstions into the Wylderness, and protect the sanctety of nature. The Firbolg were created to honour this pact, and were apointed by the
Archfey to guard nature and Dunia, which is a covenant that they still uphold to this day.
Manerisms
Firbolgs enjoyed quiet time in the woods, in harmony with nature. The forests were sacred to them and symbolized the heart of the earth and the adaptability of life. Firbolgs considered greed to be one of the worst vices. They believed that one should only ever take what one needs and no more. Firbolgs hold charity as the highest virtue but also believed that it was harmful for the recipient to know the identity of the provider; because of this they appeared to be reclusive amongst the other peoples, although they were very sociable with established friends. They were extremely honest and could not lie without feeling physical discomfort, even if the lie was by omission.

Naming Conventions
Dependent on culture. Firbolg tend to take Sylvan names, which flow beautifully, and can sometimes be entire poems in themselves. Example: Alban, Sulwyn, Taliesin.
Beauty/Gender Ideals
Firbolg have a large amount of body hair, and bathe regularly to prevent it from matting. Both men and women have full heads of hair and take great care of it. Women tend to grow longer hair than the men, although that is dependent on culture.
Relationship Ideals
Firbolg are often seen as secretive or mysterious by others. In truth, they are simply more cautious and reluctant with others than most people. Although difficult to make friends with, once a firbolg considers someone as part of their inner circle they are deeply loyal friends.

Hidden Step
As a bonus action, you can magically turn invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack, make a damage roll, or force someone to make a saving throw. You can use this trait an equal amount of times as your proficiency modifier, and refreshes when you finish a short or long rest.
Powerful Build
You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. In additon, you can ignore the Heavy and Two-handed properties for the purpose of wielding melee weapons.
Speech of Beast and Leaf
You can communicate with animals, as if you were under the effect of the Speak with Animals spell.
Treesinger Magic
You know the spells Druidcraft, Detect Magic, Disguise Self, and Entangle. At 5th level, you know the spell Speak with Plants. You always have these spells prepared. You can cast them each once without a spell slot, and you regain the ability to cast them in that way when you finish a Long Rest. You can also cast these spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level. Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for the spells you cast with this trait (choose during character creation).
