The Barren North

A land of ice and snow gives way to trees and mountains along the coast. It warms enough that the Goliath people have learned to survive in these lands. A rare type of pine tree grows here, and only here or in the White Waste. Amongst the mountains are several volcanoes and other geothermal sites. During the winter, ice spreads from the mainland to all the islands near the coast and one can walk between them. North of the mountains is an enormous barren, wind stripped plain of ice and snow that leads all the way to the north pole.

Along the north side of the map, and beyond.

General Traits
Pine Trees and snow, with an occasional volcano and many mountains, eventually gives way to a completely flat wasteland of ice and snow.
