Cassidy Callahan meets Finn Barabouss in New Orleans, LA, United States of America. They quickly fall in love and conceive a child.

At age 22, Cassidy travelled alone to America, seeking to travel across the country and explore the world. While in New Orleans, she met Finn Barabouss, a witch from a long line of witches, like her. They quickly fell in love and were surprised when Cassidy fell pregnant, and even more surprised that she did not miscarry. When she was nearing the end of her pregnancy, Cassidy and Finn decided to move back to Cape Otway. Cassidy flew home first, leaving Finn to finalise his affairs in New Orleans. He was to follow her, but never came. Cassidy believed that she had been jilted, and despaired.
