Ibe of Aya

The First. The Original. Mother of Witches. Ibe was the first witch. Imbued with magic and elemental powers by a council of the most powerful Dryads, Naiads, Sylphs, and Oreads while she was still in the womb of her mortal mother, Aya, Ibe grew to be a powerful witch with a god-like command over the elements, and a sacred devotion to the earth. In time, she became revered as a shaman and queen, and the people knew her to be a gift to them from the nature spirits.
Ibe had five daughters, each of whom inherited her magical powers, but each daughter had a stronger affinity with a different element. Abi was strongest in Air, Evkoh was strongest in Water, Hesza was strongest in Fire, Eku was strongest in Earth, and Jhelle was strongest in Spirit. Each of Ibe's daughters went on to have their own daughters, who had their own children, and on and on, populating the world with witches.

Ibe's magical control over the elements was on a near god-like level. Imbued with powers directly from the genii locorum, Ibe could command the earth, skies, waters, and fire with complete mastery. Her psychic abilities were vast and powerful - she could see into the future, into the past, into the present, and into the hearts and minds of men.
