While the people of Arkham, Massachusetts knew very little about the reclusive owner of the Kriemhild Manor before his death, they know even less about the man in charge of maintaining the household. That's just how Vincent Morfosi prefers it, though; the less people know about him, the better. As long as he maintained the facade of a humble butler and flew under everyone's radar, he could work on his own agendas in comfortable privacy. At least, until the manor came under new management.

With the arrival of the estate's new inheritor, Leila Katz-Kashif, Vincent had to kiss his precious privacy goodbye. Leila was curious and full of questions, and through a combination of sheer persistence and genuine desire to make a connection to the butler, Vincent found himself opening up to her about everything from Sigmund Kriemhild and his family to the existence of magic (though he still made an effort to keep the details about himself to a minimum). Before he knew it, she was raiding his magic book collections, bringing over new witch friends and extended family for visits, and trying to do his duties for him so he, as she put it, "wouldn't be stuck doing all the chores himself;" all the while making it harder and harder for him for maintain the carefully-crafted facade he'd spent so long perfecting.

In spite of everything, however, Vincent had to admit the new, livelier atmosphere Leila created was a far cry from the stuffy, bitter atmosphere that the late Sigmund maintained. Her company alone was greatly preferable to Sigmund's, anyway.  But that didn't change the fact that he would always has business to attend to behind the scenes.  Because there was still so much Leila didn't know about Vincent: how he came to work for Sigmund in the first place, the truth about the extent of his powers and his position in the magic world's hierarchy, or the plans he had in store for the Kriemhild family as a whole.
