Min-Ji Moon
Min-Ji Moon
Min-Ji Moon had never wanted for anything. Being the daughter of an award-winning screenwriter and a fashion model-turned-soap opera actress meant money was never an issue in her life, something she frequently took advantage of. Trendy clothes, new books, luxury vacations for birthdays and graduations, nothing was out of her price range. And if money couldn't solve a problem, well then, that's what magic was for. Being taught by some of the best magic tutors around meant Min-Ji could handle anything from a bad hair day to classmates spreading rumors with a snap of her fingers. And since she maintained perfect grades all throughout school and never got in trouble, her parents were willing to accommodate. It wasn't like they themselves were immune to indulging in their own hard-earned fortunes every now and again.
Of course, just because money wasn't an issue didn't mean Min-Ji's life was without issues. There had always been pressure to do everything perfectly, both from her parents and from herself. There were no shortage of people who found reasons to hate her, like it was her fault she just happened to be richer and smarter and generally more talented than anybody else. Plus, the atmosphere in her home has recently gotten...unusually tense. Her dad is arguing with her mom and grandfather over the phone and behind closed doors, strange people keep calling them and showing up at their house, and who even knows what her brothers are getting up to these days. Nothing good, knowing them.
So, when Min-Ji gets accepted into her dream school (as if she had any doubt she would), she's more than happy to leave all the family drama behind. Unfortunately, not long after arriving at Miskatonic University, she finds herself with a whole new set of issues. Turns out there's a lot that her parents have been hiding from her about the magic world and their own histories. If she wants to have any chance at managing her new circumstances, she's going to have to learn to make nice with the other witches on campus. But surely making friends shouldn't be hard for someone as brilliant and talented as Min-Ji, right?
