Anyone can tell you that dealing with the American healthcare system is its own circle of hell.  Fortunately for the residents of Arkham, Massachussetts, there is at least one option available to them that allows them to bypass most if not all of that.  The doctor's methods are a bit unconventional, but for the low, low price of free, most people are willing to look past them when seeking out treatment for their health issues.  To their credit, not many witches even go into the medical field, let alone bring their magic into it with them, but Dr. Dorothy Eve has never been a conventional doctor, witch, or person.

Dorothy Eve grew up in the small town of Aylesbury, and like many people who grew up in small towns, was always bored and wanted out.  She spent most of her time reading and studying whatever caught her attention and avoiding interacting with other people.  This unfortunately made her a bit of an outcast among her peers.  Things only got worse for Dorothy when she hit her teens, where after a couple years of puberty complications, she was diagnosed with what we currently know as Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.  To make a long story short, Dorothy ended up graduating early just so she could hurry up and get out of town.  This ended up being to her benefit, however, as it was while she was attending Miskatonic University that she learned of the existence of magic and, more importantly, how ut could be used to help people.

Eight years of medical school and three years residency later, Dorothy entered the healthcare world armed with the medical and magical knowledge to help her patients.  She knew no conventional doctor's office would accept her techniques, so she started up her own private practice.  And when she wasn't treating her patients, she was pushing the boundaries of how magic could be used on the human body.  She became part of the Arkham Coven and even started dating one of their members.  And with a new generation of witches starting their own coven around her alma mater, she's more than willing to offer medical and magical assistance whenever they need it.
