Command Chair

The Command Chair is the focal point of the bridge on all Alliance vessels, including the Bright Light and the Electhor. Positioned at the very center of the bridge, the chair offers a commanding view of all stations, enabling the captain to oversee operations seamlessly. Mounted on a swivel, the chair allows the captain to easily turn and address any member of the bridge crew, fostering clear communication and collaboration during critical moments.

Built for function as well as authority, the Command Chair integrates key ship controls into its armrests. These include the shipwide communication system, allowing the captain to address the crew at a moment’s notice, and controls for the Environmental System, providing instant access to vital shipboard conditions.

Among the crew, the Command Chair holds a special significance, almost akin to a sacred symbol of leadership and respect. While regulations allow any officer with the Con to sit in the chair, many crew members decline to do so, choosing instead to honor Captain Raki by leaving the seat unoccupied in his absence. To them, the Command Chair is an extension of Raki’s authority and the trust he inspires, making it a subtle yet powerful emblem of his leadership.
