Personal history

She was a newer god, just having breached the level needed to become immortal. Her young, strong powers were shunned by a lot of the other gods, because of her tendency to go too far and create too much life. Too much disease, too much sickness, too much cancer. Plus, since she taught many of the Sowers her ways, the Sowers spread this unhealthy health everywhere in the world.   The other gods had pretty much had enough of her. But, both by her own instinct and by the insistence of other gods, God of Death and Time took her in and got The God of Life and Growth to work with her, as the sower for the sparks of life that were refreshed in the eternal river in Sheol. They worked side by side for millennia. The other gods were mostly happy that she was given a direction for her powers, that wasn't just the people of the world. Because she was so controlled, she even allowed her raw power to be used as the seed that started the growth of the pre-wastes. God of Farming and Water used her power to create the huge civilization that rested upon the bounty of the farms. It was the breadbasket of the world. And, Gods with uncontrollable power wasn't really a new thing. The God of Fire and Change was certainly example A of that. The issue was when they didn't have an outlet for their power, but she was given one, so it's all good.   But, The God of Life and Growth was certainly not made to stagnate and not grow. She was happy for awhile, especially after coming back each day with her powers used up so much by the other gods. But after time passed, her powers grew and she became stronger. She wanted more. As she worked with God of Death and Time so much, she saw all the death in the world. Some justified, some not. She wanted to stop that, stop all of it. If the gods could be immortal and live forever, why not everyone else too. Why not every plant, every animal, every songbird in every tree?? Why couldn't they all live??   Her rebelliousness and anger made her a bit of a pariah among the other gods, and her relationship with God of Farming and Water became more strained. But, God of Death and Time stayed by her side always. She was there for every tirade, and every meltdown. Because, who but death could calm life? And, the God of Life and Growth was afraid of her, just a bit. She knew that death would be the only thing that could stop her, if she really tried.   Because of that, she started to work on Death. Her status as pariah made it a bit easier. The God of Death had no one else to turn to for advice, because the only advice they would give would be to give up on Life, to chain her away and drain her powers. This isn't to say that the God of Death was a total pushover. She had listened to many twisted souls and demented ghouls for centuries, reasoning with them until their souls could be released back into the world. But those souls did not have the proclivity or ability that the God of Life did.   Desperate to use her powers for good, impulsivity got the better of the God of Life. It was then that she traveled to that small settlement in the Fire-Blasted Hills. The people there were constantly injured from flames, or even scorched to death. It was there that she, and maybe a few of her Sowers, worked their magic and brought people back from the brink of death, or even beyond that! Plus, none of the other gods noticed, so she continued this work for awhile.   Those that were 'healed' tended to be healed again and again, as they acquired more injuries. After awhile, their healed parts because less and less like they should. Hairs sprouted where they shouldn't. Tumors began to show themselves. Skin healed in ways that were beyond imagination. Those that were scorched beyond repair and brought back were a whole other story. Their skin never really returned to a smooth status, they tended to have a mottled skin color, like hamburger meat. Plus, they had no 'light' in their eyes. They just went about their lives as they should, but they were muted. Never really laughing, or crying, or getting angry.   As far as the God of Life was concerned, she had created the perfect set of people. The less emotions people have, the safer they are and the less likely they are to hurt themselves. And of course, the villagers were so thankful to her and her helpers. She was regarded as a hero that helped the settlement get on its feet.   There were some issues with certain villagers that were healed. With burns, you need to regrow the skin over the burn. Some people's skin just, kept growing. It grew over their burn, and continued over their skin and out, creating weird scar tissue limbs and protrusions. For these people, the God of Life tried her best to keep it quiet, in the form of quickly dispatching these villagers by burning them to ashes. She couldn't make a mistake, and so she hid them.   But, these cases kept getting more and more frequent. The villagers started talking about those that disappeared. None suspected the God of Life, she was only trying her best. That is, until a father discovered his daughter becoming a scar/flesh monster before the God of Life could get to her.   He quickly informed the rest of the village of this affliction, and they all crowded to the God of Life and her Sowers to ask her to cure the child. Pride got the better of her in this moment. She was furious that they would want her to fix something that she created, like it was some aberration. (Even though she had been quietly erasing the others) She refused to help, and threw some choice words at the villagers for good measure. Why be nice, if you are the only thing holding the village together?   The villagers were angry. More and more started coming out and showing how her healing had disfigured them. None previously wanted to mar the image of their savior, but now they felt cheated, duped. They quickly formed a brigade to drive the God and her Sowers out of the village, as they had done enough.   Now it was the God's turn to be pissed. She had done so much for them, healed so many of them, and asked for nothing in return. And now, they throw her out??? No. She lost it a little bit, and the explosion of her power massacred the villagers. Immediately, she regretted her harsh actions, especially when other villagers came out too see what was going on.   She and her sowers tried to repair the damage by healing the villagers. But, with so much healing magic, and with the villagers already having received a whole bunch of heals already, that little bug came back in full force. The scar tissue that was growing with the healing magic just kept growing and growing. And, with the amount of villagers that were being healed all at once, it quickly grew to a size and magnitude that was monstrous and strange.   What villagers or sowers that were left were quickly enveloped by this entity and used as a source of more tissue to grow its girth. Fortunately, or unfortunately, the God of Life couldn't be absorbed so easily. Instead, this entity surrounded her, recognizing the power she held. Over several days, this entity evolved a mechanism by which to absorb and feed off her power. It was agonizing, feeling the power she held drained off as soon as she got it. She felt helpless and weak.   Eventually, her presence was missing, and the presence of a growing blight in the Fire-Blasted Hills was found by the God of Fire and Change. FURIOUS. SO FURIOUS. The entity and the town were completely obliterated in flames, quicker than the entity had to react. The God of Life was found afterwards, still scorched, and still with probing tubes out of her side, dripping with concentrated Ichor.   A meeting was called, and it was unanimously decided to imprison the God of Life and Growth for the rest of eternity, lest the world become absorbed by flesh. Even the God of Death and Time had to acquiesce. While she had believed in the God of Life's reform, this evidence was too obvious to ignore. All their efforts at reforming the God of Life had failed, and failing again could mean the end of the world.   So, the God of Life was taken to a remote location and imprisoned, locked away. The God of Knowledge and Knowing studied the tubes the entity developed, and found a way to create something similar so that the God of Life's powers were constantly drained, even as she channeled more from the life surrounding her. It was cruel, especially considering that this device could be used against themselves. But, it was necessary. She had betrayed them all.   So, the God of Life stewed. She had already been at the mercy of her own creation, and now she was at the mercy of those she called her friends. Especially the God of Death and Time, the one she worked with for so long, the one she loved, the one she had tried to prune to become her Queen and ruler of the world.   After some time, she tempted some travelers into her prison, and filled their heads with thoughts of power, as long as they did exactly what she said. And mean, they got their power, certainly.   She was the one responsible for the God of Death and Time and God of Farming and Water going missing. They are held and drained of power as she was/is. She was the one responsible for telling the secrets of ichor to the robot maker. For having mermaids hunted down for their ichor. She may have started the rebellion of the malicious spirits in Sheol. She cannot finish what she started, she cannot actively rule the world in the position she's in, but by god she's going to try. Plus, if there was a way to get her out, she's going to find it.
