The Wardens Guild
The Warden's Guild is a venerable and esteemed organization renowned across the realms for its tireless dedication to understanding and safeguarding the arcane. Operating from their impressive headquarters in the capital city of the Drakayan Empire, the Guild is both a bastion of magical research and a vigilant protector against the unknown. With a history stretching back centuries, the Wardens have become synonymous with the pursuit of knowledge and the containment of magical phenomena.
The Warden's Guild is primarily tasked with investigating magical anomalies that threaten the balance of the world. From sudden disturbances in the natural flow of mana to mysterious artifacts and unexplained phenomena, their operatives are dispatched to uncover, understand, and, if necessary, neutralize these arcane disruptions.
Central to their research is the study of the Mana Gates, ancient and enigmatic conduits that indirectly connect the material world to the elemental planes. Though the Gates themselves remain shrouded in mystery, their effects on the surrounding environment are profound. The Guild seeks to decode the foundational intricacies of these connections, exploring their influence on elemental magic, the flow of mana, and the stability of the world itself.
In 2000, DR, one of the members of the Wardens Council, embarked on a journey to establish the first-ever secondary location for the Wardens Guild in a town known as Leefside. Accompanied by Zogbel and Fabian, two trusted allies and peers of his, he would establish a new kind of guild, one that withheld the dedicated nature of the original Wardens Guild to discovering and protecting the world from magical anomalies, but in a more direct and active way, operating as more of an adventure's guild designs specifically as guardians, researchers, healers, and crafters all contributing to making the world a better place.
In 2002 DR, this Leefside Wardens Guild would be both destroyed and nearly dismantled by the fury and wrath of a villanous mastermind who sought to end the world. The Guild would be forced to disband, dissolving its members either leaving off into their own ventures or integrating into the town itself.
