The Earth Gate

The lands of Eren are almost entirely covered in a canopy of trees, some full and vibrant with color, and some having grown back from the old history of dragons. Even up the mountain passes the paths are outlined with greenery and tall trunks, grass having overgrown the walk way and moss covered rocks. The passage up the mountain was never a clear one, having been woven by the roots of the forest the Gate spun, sometimes looping for ages and ages, travelers getting lost in the woods. One could presume it's the natural way for the Gate to protect itself from intruders, but you’d have to consult the trees. The dense brush and moss-covered trees give way to a clearing at the top of the highest mountain in Eren. What once may have been a temple is now overgrown. Nature has taken back its land, with all paths winding their way here. The beholder would find an archway made of stacked stone of perfect balance, one nudge in the wrong direction, one tug from one of the pebbles, and the gate would crumble, chaos unfolding in the aftermath. From its center roots sprawl out, disappearing into the forest. The roots are so thick that the actual opening in the gate is nearly completely covered by the living forest it has created, only a small gap about an inch wide emitting a powerful green hue of light from somewhere beyond our realm.

Constant tectonic activity makes earthquakes and geologic forces acting upon the terrain a common occurrence, constantly changing the layout of the underground world.

The Earth Realm - A realm that is made up of solid stone. It isnt believed to have a surface, instead consisting of an endless subterranean expanse. Caverns as slender as a hairline to as vacuous as the ocean dwell throughout.
