The Air Guardian

The Air Guardian isn't something that has ever physically been identified. Or more accurately, nobody has irrefutably been sure. Researchers both magical and scientific have come to the conclusion that the storm that churns everlasting at the highest peak of Astana's mountain range may very well be the guardian of the air gate. The sheer impenetrable nature of the windstorm and what seems to be oddly specific and centralized concentrations of wind gales in areas where people attempt to breach too deep into the storms walls has led some to postulate the storm actively has some capacity to react to outside invaders trying to permeate through its wind wall. A phenomena that some arcanists think is not out of the realm of plausibility if the storm were to be maintained by an immensely powerful spirit like some the gates are known to be guarded by.

- Even squadrons of griffon riders and Linden warships must be cautious of Astana's winds. If they do not favor you, you will be tossed out of the sky with no recourse. Such is the will of the winds.
