The physical characteristics of humans are as varied as the world’s climates. Their skin ranges from pale or fair tones, all the way to burnished or dark browns. Hair colors run the full gambit of earthy colors, from straw golds to earthy browns and coal blacks. Body build can vary widely, both due to lifestyle and inherited traits from their parents.

History

There is a saying, unsurprisingly enough, within human cities that "human history is world history." This is a playful exaggeration, but one fueled by the zeal for life and wanderlust humans have historically shown through the ages. No one truly knows how humans came to be the most prevalent demographic in the world, but said presence stems from multiple facets of each region and its lore.

Human society is a strange amalgam of nostalgia and aspiration, being enamored of past glories and wistfully remembered “golden ages,” yet at the same time quick to discard tradition and history and strike off into new ventures. Their vast presence makes the number of distinct human civilizations, and by extension, cultures, quite numerous. Human society comprises a multitude of governments, attitudes, and lifestyles. Though the oldest human cultures trace their histories thousands of years into the past, when compared to the societies of other races like elves and dwarves, human society seems to be in a state of constant flux as empires fragment and new kingdoms take up the old.
