His brother Alexander made it clear that he and his wife would run the family business with no help from Marco. Alexander's not so secret hope is that Marco will travel and find someplace else, but Marco has one of those odd mental states that has given him a moral compass. He wants to see his family succeed, but more than that, he wants to see is family do well. He has recently convinced his brother that an independent mercenary band could be of some use in protecting their interests.
