The great Always Mountains contain a number of small, isolated nations that have found a variety of idiosyncratic ways to make a living. Although many tradesmen in the empire rely on lumber exported from the dense hardwood forests of the central mountains, these small mountain nations have little significant impact on imperial culture at large.
