Lykara, the hideous dae of the swamplands, is known for her dual forms. Her human guise is that of a breathtakingly beautiful woman, a deceptive allure she often favors over her true form, the Dae Maleficae. In this monstrous yet mesmerizing state, her head transforms into that of a demonic hound or an exaggerated coyote. Her large, pulsating eyes radiate a nervous, unholy energy, and her jagged, poison-dripping teeth gleam with menace. Small, curved horns emerge near her ears, adding to her grotesque elegance. The fur on her animalistic head is a ghostly white, its tips stained a deep crimson, as though perpetually bathed in blood. Her ashen skin glows faintly where her dae tattoos pulse with an eerie luminescence, marking her as a creature born of both terror and dark beauty.
No one truly knows the origins of Lykara, unlike Valkesh or Halavour, whose beginnings are well-documented. Lykara’s tale is shrouded in mystery, though many rumors attempt to fill the void. Some claim she was once an enchantress who reached too far, tempted by magic beyond her understanding. Others say she was a beautiful woman lost in the swamps, bewitched by a Swamp Dae and transformed into her current form. The speculations are endless, but none are definitive. What is known, however, are the chilling accounts of how she ensnares her victims. Lykara lures them in with her human guise, waiting until the perfect moment to reveal her vicious dae form and strike before escape is possible. Only one or two have ever survived an encounter with her—and lived to tell the tale.
Lykara embodies the true essence of a dae: deadly and alluring. She moves among the living, blending in effortlessly until her hunger compels her to strike. Having lived for countless centuries, she has changed her hunting grounds many times, wielding enough power and influence to evade both capture and death.
If you find yourself in the swamplands or bogs and hear an eerie howl echoing through the darkness, take heed. Find shelter, flee if you can, or pray—either to the Mother Goddess Ygharis for protection or to Nelous for a swift and merciful end.
She enjoys hunting prey with her spear, the black tip is said to be made of the bone of another demon. The shaft of her spear is made from a bloodwood tress and the tip is from bone from a dea she killed so she could take over the swamplands.
Beware her poisionous bite it induces a feelign ecastasy, before quickly becoming fatal, the pain itsself is said to be searing. If you've been bitten is no cure only the sweet gift of death.

Lykara is driven by an insatiable hunger, compelled to feast on the fear of others to sate the darkness within her black heart. She particularly delights in luring men into the swamps, savoring the terror that seeps from them. The hunt itself brings her joy; she revels in the chase, often stretching it out over many nights, savoring each moment of her prey’s growing despair before delivering the final blow.

Middle Dae, or Maleficae, represent a more dangerous breed of demons, striving for power and capable of inflicting significant damage on the world around them. They are also capable of shifting forms to those of that inhabit the world with some playing out long term plans to enact their goals. They can as well command the Infernal Scirpi and often use them as underlings, providing them a layer of safety and portection. Characteristics Physical Appearance: Maleficae are larger and more menacing than their Lesser counterparts. They often exhibit more formidable features, such as twisted limbs, darkened skin, and a grotesque elegance that reflects their corrupted nature. Ambition: Driven by a relentless pursuit of power, these demons target key locations and influential individuals, seeking to sow discord and destruction. Abilities Middle Dae possess larger-scale destructive magic, including: Summoning Storms: They can call forth tempests that ravage landscapes and cause widespread panic. Blight Spells: They can induce decay in living things, causing crops to wither and wildlife to perish. Shape-Shifting: Maleficae can transform into human forms, allowing them to blend in with mortals. This ability makes them particularly dangerous, as they can seduce and manipulate individuals to achieve their goals, often using charm and allure to ensnare their victims. Habitat Maleficae manipulate their environments, gradually eating away at the vitality of the world. Their influence can lead to the slow but sure degradation of entire regions, turning vibrant areas into lifeless wastelands. These demons act as antagonists, orchestrating chaos and undermining communities from within. Their seductive nature allows them to infiltrate social circles, manipulating mortals into carrying out their nefarious plans. This ability to masquerade as trusted allies makes them a significant threat to the stability of Selenia and Islands.
