Aeon Character in The Veil | World Anvil

Aeon

From the second spark Aeon forged two sons and gave them dominion over darkness and light and all they encompass. Aeon named them Dusk and Dawn for one could not be without the other.
— Book of the Triumvirate, The Setting:10-11

Aeon the progenitor deity of the Veil...is dead. At least that is what the Church wants the people to believe. Perhaps Aeon is corrupted and is the source of the Bane. The truth is most likely hidden in the in-between and unknowable.

Aeon born from a Cosmic Spark created the Veil, during the event known as the Setting. They used their power to wrap the Umbral Expanse in a barrier meant to keep its denizens locked away. Aeon created everything on the Veil but found it a lonely endeavor. In order to have a true living world it needed life, but that life would need tenders and Aeon did not want to be alone in those duties, so they birthed two sons from another Cosmic Spark and named them Dusk and Dawn. Together they created life however each one was permitted the ability to constitute one form of sentience. Aeon conceived Changelings and gave them access to a silver of their power over reality, time, fate, change.

Aeon watched over the Veil alongside their two sons for many centuries. They saw it all, the Cursing of Garou, the formation of Luorra and the Dominion, the rise of the Order, and the weakening of the Veil. Exhausted after dealing with the ever squabbling Dusk and Dawn, Aeon in all their majesty, missed the moment that the life they had created, had forsaken him.

Aeon fell. The Church claims it was Dusk who had turned against them and sundered them from the cosmos. Others claim it was someone who had too much ambition, someone who wanted to be seated next to Aeon or perhaps take their place. Many believe that Aeon is not dead but is corrupted and is the reason that death is perverted.

Divine Domains

Aeon is associated with change. The natural cycle of life and death, reality vs. dream, fate and its fickleness, shapeshifting and the passage of time, all fall under the purview of Aeon.

Artifacts

Aeonic Magic is a gift bestowed to the Changelings by Aeon, it goes beyond the natural ability to shapeshift for those who wish to shoulder it's burden.
