Heresiarch

Heresiarch is a designation granted to mages whose magic, in its roots, comes into direct conflict to articles of the Cairo Concordat. Although the Council does not determine that heresiarchs be imprisoned outright, mages with that designation are kept under very careful watch and must follow certain special protocols, usually developed in accordance to their magical abilities. Heresiarchs are, therefore, at a very delicate position where they can be extorted by ill intentioned council officials lest they risk being put down at the pretense of protecting the Concordat.
Necromancy, Goetia, Hemomancy and Haruspex are all usual magical arts among Heresiarchs.
