Dracomander
A reptilian species native to Crux, dracomanders are fast and powerful predators that live in the harsh mountain ranges of the region. In some parts of Crux and other regions, dracomanders have been domesticated and are used as volatile and dangerous mounts. Their penchant for burrowing into mountainsides and their resilience to both extreme cold and heat make them highly prized.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Dracomanders are lithe and elegantly built, enabling cliffside traversal with ease. Their large yet weak wings allow them to glide short distances but they cannot fly. Their claws are suited to both climbing and digging, and their saliva melts through rock and metal.
Ecology and Habitats
These beasts mainly live in and around Crux's mountain ranges, utilizing their claws and saliva to scale cliffs and dig holes for shelter. Those mountaineering through those dangerous peaks have learned to appreciate the caverns they leave behind.
