Ugur
The Ironlord
Ugur is the god of war and strife. The incarnate will behind every drawn blade and every clash of steel. Known as the Ironlord, he is not a god of glory or conquest, but of battle itself: pure, relentless, and eternal. Born from the first clash of arms between mortals, he rose with the scream of steel and has never ceased to be. As long as weapons are forged and war is waged, Ugur endures. Should battle ever vanish entirely, it is said he will rust into silence and fade forever.
Appearance
Ugur is portrayed as a towering figure clad in battered, bloodstained plate, his face ever hidden behind a dented helm. His armor is pieced together from the remnants of a thousand wars, and no two depictions of him are exactly alike. For he is the sum of every battlefield, not a being of one era. His voice is the clash of metal and the scream of wounded earth. In his hand he bears no fixed weapon; instead, he is often shown reaching for the nearest blade, any blade, for all are his.Dogma
The Ironlord teaches that war is not moral or immoral, it simply is. Conflict is as natural to sentient life as breath or thought. He does not care for causes, banners, or treaties. He is invoked by both tyrant and rebel, both defender and invader. He blesses neither, he only honors those who fight with strength, resolve, and readiness to die. To wield a weapon is to carry part of Ugur within it. To fight is to invite his gaze. Cowardice and treachery are his only taboos, not because they are evil, but because they deny the honesty of the battlefield.Worship
Ugur’s worshippers are warriors, mercenaries, generals, and gladiators. His temples are forges, armories, or battlefield shrines where blood and metal mix. His rites are simple: sharpen your blade, harden your spirit, and fight when the time comes. Clerics of Ugur are often clad in patchwork armor and never without a weapon close at hand. His sacred text is The Rustbound Litany, a battle-scarred volume said to be etched into a single, unbreakable shield passed down through countless warlords. It contains no prayers only the rules of engagement, rites for weapon-blessing, and tales of last stands worth remembering. His holiest days are known as Ironwakes, held on the eves of a great battles. Followers gather to anoint their weapons in blood or oil, and to chant the names of those who died on the field, not in mourning, but in acknowledgment.Relations
Ugur is a solitary god, distant even from others in the pantheon. He shares little in common with deities of law, compassion, or ideals. Yet he respects Aurora for healing those who survive war, Anwhe for forging order from its ashes, and Ashmedai for turning conflict into contract. He loathes Nyxarion, whose obsession festers in stillness and torture, not battle. With Perun, he shares a primal kinship both being forces of chaos bound to natural cycles of fury. Some even claim the two once clashed above the world, a storm of lightning and iron that shaped the first mountains.History
Ugur’s origin is as raw as war itself. He was not born in a divine court or called forth by pure worship. Instead, he manifested in the moment the first mortal raised stone against stone, a spark in the air, a will to clash, a cry of rage that birthed more than death. He rose not to guide war, but to embody it. Over the ages, he has appeared in every conflict where stakes were life and death. Some say he stood silently at the Fall of Aurix, blood-steam hissing from his armor. Others claim his broken helm rests atop the bones of a dragon-emperor slain by its kin. Ugur is not loved. He is respected. For even in peace, every blade remembers him.
