Session 5: Port o Sweet

General Summary

After waving goodbye to their friend Francis Graf, the party of Vexna, Thylius and Yujin make their way back to the tavern the Bumbling Bee. Following close behind them is a mysterious figure. When they arrive at the tavern they hear the sound of an ongoing brawl from inside. The party stops outside, wondering whether or not to go inside. At the same time, Varinel arrives in Honeyport and meets up with the rest. Whilst they are discussing what to do the mysterious figure makes itself known as Madame Jeanne de La Brouhaha, or Madame Jeanne for short. The group decides to enter the tavern and inside they find two men knocked out on the floor and two men fighting a losing battle against a giant figure. Vexna intervenes and the two men leave. The large figure introduces himself as Jork the Jötunfolk. After spending the lunch together, Madame Jeanne and Jork join the party. After lunch, the party splits up. Vexna spends the afternoon with Jennie, who shows her around and together they investigate Jennies old house. The rest of the party spends the day buying horses and wagons. Varinel tries to find out something else about the red velvet clan but finds very little. The group meets up again for dinner. Soon thereafter Varinel, Jork, Thylius and later Yujin comes up with a scheme to make some money. Inspired by the events that transpired at lunch, they attempt to start an illegal fighting ring. With the help of Wilfrick and the tavernkeeper, they manage to do so. Madame Jeanne notices what they're doing but does not act. Instead, she merely observes and takes notes. Vexna notices some strange behavior as well but chooses to ignore it and instead focuses on getting more information about the ongoing witchhunt. The others spend the evening drinking beer and betting on fights. The operation is successful and plans are made to continue this business.
