Order of the Vice
The Coalition Knights
The secret Order of the Vice are a mysterious group of Hellknights who guard the precipice of this world against the alien threats of the Great Beyond. They differ from the other Hellknight orders in that their organisation and entire hierarchy of leadership is classified. Even the location of their headquarters is a mystery, and they do not appear to have any other permanent bases anywhere. Still, they actively seek out high-risk areas and lend their support to those who come into conflict with fiends and other beings from their realm of expertise.
The Order of the Vice’s armour is also distinct from that of other Hellknights, in that it lacks the decorative spikes, skulls, and other superfluous symbols of their peers. Instead, they wear silver-ornamented black plate armour with red cloaks.
Due to their unique method of countering threats, they have become known as 'Coalition Knights' and are regarded as competent leaders, negotiators, and mediators.
Culture
Hellknights of this Order deviate significantly from established Hellknight methodology. Their standard approach to emergent or active threats is to provide extensive knowledge, commonly on a tactical level, as well as initiating outreach efforts with the express intent of uniting local expertise in a united front against the trespasser(s) from the Great Beyond.
Their militarism is markedly more reserved compared to the standard upheld by other Hellknight orders. Instead, they exude a "virtuous triad:" conciliation, communication, and coordination.
They appear to be a very small group; Hellknights of the Order of the Vice travel alone. Speculation could also lead to a conclusion that this is a deliberate strategy employed to maximise coverage and obscure the size of the chapter. In any case, this behaviour falls in line with the Order's focus on exemplary leadership.
