Order of the Scourge
The Order of the Scourge stands as the oldest of the Hellknight orders, and is usually counted as the largest, at least by the number of sworn and aspiring members. Vigilant observers, the order constantly reminds civil society that no crime ever goes unpunished. They are engaged in a nigh-eternal war against criminality in all its forms and believe that all mortals are lawless by nature; this must be combated at all costs, which the Order of the Scourge does by frequently holding public and harsh punishments for even the slightest of infractions. However, their most significant battle is that against grand abuses of power, corruption, and organised crime. They are experts of infiltration and subterfuge.
