Appearing as a smartly-dressed man, and supposedly offering assistance to intellectuals in distress, someone bearing the unassuming hallmarks of Mr. Door appear and reappear throughout recorded history. Always at the right place, at the right time, and not a moment too soon. The help comes without any price and with no hooks attached. But all those who accept his aid invariably vanish. They say that curiosity is the foundation of all knowledge - say, do you wish to take a look at what lies beyond the threshold? To know the unknowable, to step into the dream-fabric of the blue plateau, to ascend to impossible Kadath? And once you open that door, he is there to close it, right behind you.

Notable Sightings

Tropam, a displaced Harper from the city of Baldur's Gate, accidentally managed to contact Mr. Door in 304 AM. His newfound benefactor went on to guide him towards his parents. The harengon wizard was never heard from again.
