Gorudra
The Beast at the End of Time
Gorudra is the god of destruction, entropy, and the inevitable end of all things. It is not worshipped in the conventional sense, but feared and acknowledged as a truth woven into the very fabric of existence. A being of vast, unknowable power, Gorudra represents the undoing of creation, not out of malice, but because all things must end. Sealed away by the Old Gods in the earliest days of the world, it waits in silence in the foundations of Lethara’s Spire, dreaming of the final hour.
Appearance
Gorudra has no single form, only interpretations drawn by cults and apocalyptic visions. It is described as a massive, writhing amalgam of limbs, teeth, and void, cloaked in smoke and fire, with eyes like dying stars. In some myths, it is said to devour sound itself, so that nothing grows near its presence. The few who claim to have seen it in dreams say it speaks in silence, and that its shadow falls before the end. It is also belived by some that Gorudra is the mightiest of the alien qlippoth race native to the Abyss. This theory holds some validity when one considers the bizarre and alien appearance of the true rulers of the Abyss.Dogma
There is no scripture of Gorudra, only prophecy, and the terrified whispers of those who study the end. The beast is not evil in the traditional sense; it is inevitable. Creation itself is an act of defiance, and time merely a slow retreat from Gorudra’s hunger. Those who acknowledge its existence understand that even gods will fall before it when the last moment comes. Some mad cults revere it as a liberator, believing the destruction of all things will bring perfect stillness. n end to suffering, memory, and choice. Others see it as the final test of mortal and divine resolve. But most simply fear it, and work to delay its rising.Worship
True worship of Gorudra is rare and usually forbidden. Cults that form around it are often small, nihilistic, and violently opposed by all other faiths. These groups gather in deep, forgotten places, marking time through endless chants, preparing for the day the Spire shatters. Prophets of Gorudra speak of The Last Roar, the event that will crack the sky, unmake the gods, and cast the planes into silence. They claim it cannot be stopped, only delayed. Their rituals often involve the destruction of sacred texts, desecration of temples, and the erasure of names, reflecting their belief in the futility of legacy.Relations
Gorudra has no allies, no friends, no priests. The Old Gods, led by Lethara, Aurora, and Behemoth, once stood united to seal it away at the dawn of time, binding it beneath the Spire where all planes converge. Even now, its presence is felt when stars vanish without reason, or when entire realities collapse into shadow. Lethara watches over its prison with unyielding silence, for if she falters, even the concept of death would be consumed. It is said that should Gorudra rise again, the gods themselves will stand their final vigil upon the broken remains of the Spire, not to win, but to remind the universe that it once dared to exist.
