Declaration of Intent

An expressive announcement written by Geneviève Frankling after she was tricked by the supposed local smith and his apprentice. Instead of brushing up and "making better" her Legion plate armour, as the hostel's owner had claimed they could, the pair made away with it. And her coin purse, too. How uncivilised!

Purpose

The laurifer intended to threaten the thieves by invoking esoteric terminology that they absolutely did not understand, appealing to principles they certainly never had. Perhaps the main reason behind this announcement was ventilation, for by the time it was posted in Vale's Rest the criminals were long gone.

None whatsoever. At the very least, her being an officer in the Golden Legion makes it sound more legitimate. Probably. It's about on the same level as a death threat.

Condemned, traitor and enemy.
My first open words of indictment against an unjust tribunal of executioners and the reason for my first indictment by a court of legal practitioners. Charged, prosecuted – right to appeal, denied – sentenced, released. A just process subverted to the preservation of evil handed me my first sanction and thereby confirmed the righteousness of my cause.

Justitia, libertas et aequitas.

P.S. I am aware that I owe the hostel one silver and three copper for my stay. Unfortunately, they stole my coin-purse too. Either I or the Legion will compensate you. Provided that you stop giving people recommendations that leads to their armour and currency being stolen, of course. First time is an error, the second wilful. There will be no third.
