Powers

The large blade is unusually light due to it not being forged of metal, but rather the scales and bones of an ancient red dragon. It works like a +5 Longsword. Imbued with the power of the silver dragon that forged it, this sword enhances the strength and dexterity of its user by +6 to each.
As the blade was imbued with the power of a ilver dragon it also grants its wielder some of the abilities of a Silver Dragon. These include Darkvision, Blindsense and a passive ability to detect magic. The sword can also allow its user to cast a number of spells through the sword. These are spells such as Scorching Ray, Fireball, and Dragons Breath. Along with some of its power, the silver dragon also imbued some of its spirit into the blade allowing it to speak and guide its user, making it a semi-sentient item.

History

The Crimson Claw was forged from the scales, claws, and teeth of an Ancient Red Dragon in the magical flames of an Ancient Silver Dragon. In the process of creation, the sword was imbued with the power and spirit of its creator, who hoped that the blade would ensure that no agent of Tiamat would ever again be able to take the throne of Scaelor.
