According to legend, she was born of sacrifice at a sacred lake—her mother, Elowen, dying in the arms of her father, Eamon, who was left heartbroken and bereft of hope. His cries, and the tears shed over his lost love, awakened the spirit of the lake. In a mystical act of rebirth, the spirit granted Eamon a child, a girl named Tori, who was destined to bring balance to nature’s realm. As the spirit promised, Tori grew to be swift like the water and strong as a maple tree, embodying the very qualities that were foretold to her protector.
