Prince Darius of The Vale

Prince Darius is the estranged son of the King, born to a concubine and raised in the shadows of royal expectations. At 25 years old, he is a striking figure, exuding both regal authority and a dark, troubled aura. His life has been marred by violence and unchecked desires, and while his father, the King, sought to distance him from the royal court to protect his younger brother, Ilan, Darius's path was far from peaceful.

Growing up in the royal palace, Darius quickly became known for his violent tendencies, abusing and assaulting handmaidens and indulging in reckless acts that tarnished the reputation of the royal family. His temper, fueled by a deep-rooted anger and a thirst for power, led to chaos in the palace and strained his relationships with those around him. His behavior became so extreme that the King, seeking to protect Ilan from the influence of his older brother, sent him away to a distant monastery, away from the intoxicating darkness that consumed Darius.

The King, although reluctant, hoped that distance would save Ilan from becoming like his brother, and under the care of holy orders, Ilan was raised to embrace the teachings of the gods. Unlike Darius, Ilan flourished, becoming a man of faith and earning a place in the paladin order, a stark contrast to the violent prince his brother had become.

While Ilan thrived in his new life, Darius's reckless actions only deepened. He soon found himself wrapped in darker powers and influencing the inner workings of the Vale in ways that were difficult to control. Beneath his piercing green eyes lies a corrupted soul, and some even whisper that a dark force now controls him, manipulating his every decision. Despite his royal title and lavish armor, there is a palpable sorrow behind Darius’s gaze, as if he is trapped between the aspirations of a prince and the madness that runs through his bloodline.

Darius is now a dangerous figure at the heart of the war between demons and devils, his violent streak now coupled with a sinister ambition that could tear the kingdom apart. His estranged relationship with Ilan remains a haunting reminder of the two brothers’ contrasting fates—a tale of divine protection versus the destructive nature of unchecked power.

As Darius ascends into a position of power, rumors swirl that the forces that once tainted him may now shape the future of the Vale itself. Will he remain a puppet of the darker forces at work, or will he seize his destiny and bring about the kingdom's salvation, or its downfall?
