Skinkberry

Skinkberries were a type of fruit-bearing vine created by the ancient Korruksi. The eponymous fruit was slightly larger than a strawberry, colored a deep blue, with bright blue juice that stained the tongue (and anything else it got onto) for hours. Specially bred by the Korruksi, the fruit was delicious to anyone of reptilian descent, and utterly disgusting to almost anyone else. The plants themselves were lost when the empire was abandoned come Earthfall, and all knowledge of them has been long-since lost, but some preserved seeds might still be around to discover...

("Skinkberry" is the modern name for them, once they are rediscovered, named by the Academy scholars who first grew the recovered seeds. It was named rather whimsically for both A) the blue color it stains the tongue, and B) the special taste reptiles have for it. Skinkberries have no special properties or adverse effects; they are perfectly normal fruit aside from their odd taste.)
