Burntsoul Tribe

The Burntsoul Tribe is one of the oldest Orian gnoll tribes not claiming direct descent from the original Nine-and-Ninety. They have maintained seemingly unbroken patrilineal descent for over two hundred years, carrying on the name of their founder, Kurth Burntsoul. In spite of these claims to prestige, however, they are very few in number, never more than two dozen or so members at most; the tribe keeps itself safe in spite of this through its high instance of magical talent. Every chief has had power, each claiming it to be the divine blessing of the goddess Lamashtu.
