The Artisans' Halls

The Artisans' Halls are a section of the city on a raised stone walkway entirely devoted to workshops and storage areas for the cities many crafters and artisans. Here you can find anything from jewelry to the finest weapons and armour, all for a price. The Halls differ from The Grand Market as this is where the larger forges and nosier machines can be kept.
The Halls are usually a very good place to sell raw materials as there's always someone willing to work with them, or to get custom pieces made.
The whole area is, in a word, loud. Constant hammering and shouting, scraping and crashing, and the smell of chemicals and fumes permeates the air. There's a reason the whole area is kept away from the Grand Market, but the skill and passion of the people here ensures a steady stream of customers despite this.
Many workshops double as actual shops with wares on display outside, however artisans who have built their reputation will often have nothing more than a small placard with their name on a door and an open area where they work, not needing more than word of mouth to drive their business.
