Matir had once been a Winnaran Custodian but chose to join the Keleres. She joined around the same time as Cohort Theta-2 and only missed being grouped into that unit by a matter of days. Instead she began as a Junior Support Agent in Cohort Valerus, before being promoted out of it as a Support Agent.
