Session 1 - The Invasion Begins

General Summary

In the quaint town of Bridgehaven, far removed from the grasp of kings and rulers, the annual market festival is in full swing. Within the cozy walls of a local tavern, Sol, Gustav, and Alais gather around the hearth, captivated by the tales spun by the seasoned entertainer, Aldor, regaling them with stories of his youthful adventures.   Suddenly, chaos erupts as a horde of Gnoll Scouts descends upon the unsuspecting town, unleashing a merciless rampage. Sol springs into action, valiantly saving a gravely injured Aldor, while Gustav and Alais swiftly dispatch the invaders, defending the townsfolk. With brave hearts and quick thinking, they manage to rescue Farrow, Andanara, and Clidon from harm's way.   Realizing the gravity of the situation, the group decides to seek refuge across the bridge, amidst the safety of the Twilight Woods. Gathering their wits and essential supplies, Sol and Alais each eliminate another Gnoll Scout, while Gustav lands a strike on the fleeing Gnoll general named Toughmane. Their ranks bolstered by the arrival of swordsman Dendro, they go on to rescue Senlo, Mortem, and Taven, ensuring no one is left behind.   Believing that many helpless citizens would seek solace at the local shrine, Gustav leads the weary group towards it, supported by Alais. Along the way, Alais befriends a starving Wolf, which aids them in dispatching three more gnolls. Sol, drawing upon his mysterious powers, unleashes a lethal force, vanquishing the fearsome Fangsnarl and saving Lena and Harl from certain doom.   Weary from their relentless battles, the group stumbles upon the forge, witnessing the valiant struggle of Giran and Pentanos against a mighty Minotaur. Joining forces, they slay the formidable creature, rescuing Kina and Melinda from its clutches. The decision is finally made to make their escape, fleeing across the bridge they once called home.   Step by step, their path is marked by the fall of gnolls and wolves, their determination unyielding. Pushing the final general, Sharptooth, to the brink, they force him into the raging rapids below before detonating the bridge, severing their connection to the burning village. Gazing upon the ominous black tower and the ominous banner of The Red Fang, they recognize the peril that awaits.   As they find refuge within the enigmatic Twilight Woods, their first day reveals the true dangers lurking in its depths. The discovery of a trapper's lifeless body and the charred remnants of a lumber camp, now infested with menacing Zombie, accentuate the perilous nature of their new surroundings. Recognizing the need for better shelter than the open night sky and swaying branches, Dendro suggests a quest for a more secure refuge.   With the dawn, a mysterious illness afflicts many of the weary refugees, threatening their lives. Acting swiftly, Alais identifies the tainted water as the source and uses his skills to save numerous lives from its grip. Meanwhile, Dendro returns from a scouting mission, bearing a grave warning of impending conflict with Kobold Scouts.   In this arduous journey through peril and uncertainty, the band of refugees must remain steadfast, for their fates are intertwined with the whims of fate and the secrets concealed within the Twilight Woods. Only together can they navigate the treacherous path that lies ahead.
