Personal history

Lucienne Aerhart was born into opulence—the only daughter of the Aerhart family, one of the most powerful dynasties in Stormreach. The Aerharts made their fortune through steamworks, banking, and high-stakes political maneuvering. Her father, Theodore Aerhart, is a cold, calculating magnate with a permanent scowl and a sharper tongue than most blades. Her mother, Genevieve, is a socialite with a legacy of charm, beauty, and social mastery that Lucienne was expected to inherit.   Raised in marble halls, gilded ballrooms, and private salons, Lucienne was trained in etiquette, fencing, dance, diplomacy, and the finer points of ruthless conversation. She excelled in all of them—though never out of passion. Everything in her life was meticulously curated and scripted.   But Lucienne was always a little... off-script.   From a young age, she began pushing against expectations. She'd skip galas to wander the back alleys of Stormreach in disguise, listening to dockworkers and gamblers. She made friends with gutter poets, wandering duelists, and a stray talking donkey (which she insists was real). She developed a taste for danger—not out of rebellion, but because it was the only thing that made her feel real.   Her clever mouth and disregard for the "image" of the Aerhart name began drawing unwanted attention. Whispers in the capital suggested she might become a liability to her family’s ambitions.   So they gave her an “opportunity.” She would be the face of the Zephyr project—a noble patron and goodwill ambassador sent to support the future of expansion into the wilderness.   In truth, it was exile with a velvet ribbon. She was shipped off under the guise of honor, a gesture to show the Aerharts’ investment in the outer territories. She suspects her father just wanted her somewhere she couldn’t embarrass the family during Emperor Toren’s rising power games.   Lucienne knows this isn’t a pleasure voyage—it’s politics, punishment, and maybe even a trap.   So she brought her parasol, her mirror, her flask of perfume, and a razor-sharp mind.   Let them underestimate her.   They usually do.
