Personal history

Bigboom wasn’t always a leader. In fact, he wasn’t even always called Bigboom. Once, he was just Gribz, a scrawny goblin runt in a tribe that barely tolerated his existence. Born into a backwater goblin camp deep in the swamps, he was small, weak, and constantly bullied. The other goblins called him “Gribz the Gunk” because he was always covered in soot and slime from tinkering with whatever scraps he could find. But while the other goblins fought with sticks and rusty knives, Gribz had a different obsession—fire, smoke, and things that go boom.   His fate changed the day his tribe was raided by a gang of mercenaries looking to clear out "vermin." The goblins ran, but Gribz refused to flee. Instead, he set a trap using a barrel of stolen alchemist’s fire, a handful of nails, and some very bad judgment. The explosion wiped out the mercenaries and half the swamp, turning the battlefield into a smoking crater. When the surviving goblins returned, they found Gribz standing triumphantly in the wreckage, missing an eyebrow and laughing madly. That day, he became Bigboom.   From then on, Bigboom was respected and feared. He led his people not through brute strength, but through sheer ingenuity, crafting weapons that made their small tribe a force to be reckoned with. Eventually, he took over the Pickle Barrel Goblins, a once-aimless group of scavengers, and turned them into something greater. They became known not for their savagery, but for their unpredictable mix of business and explosions. Under his rule, they began fermenting pickles in stolen barrels—at first as a joke, but soon as an actual trade.   Now, Bigboom is more than just a warlord—he’s an entrepreneur. He runs the Pickle Barrel Goblins like a chaotic goblin guild, balancing commerce with calamity. He believes in making deals, but always keeps a few bombs under the table, just in case. After all, as he likes to say: “A good trade is like a good bomb—timing is everything, and everyone remembers it.”
