Cruyema
It's unclear whether Cruyemas were invented long ago or somehow formed or evolved from the drit of the deserts of the ninth world. They possess a unique physiology that draws heat from their environment in order to provide their bodies with energy and subsist on a diet of dirt and rocks that they use to provide the building blocks of their metallic bodies.
Their ability to draw in heat from around them causes their immediate vicinity to become very cold, freezing water and causing frost and condensation on most surfaces.
Cruyema are naturally skittish and will generally run away rather than fight, but when cornered their razor sharp beaks make for a formidable weapon. They generally move in small flocks of three to five specimens.
Cruyema
A small burning sphere sits within an open compartment of a mechanical bird that stands four metres tall. Its body is balanced on two spindly but solid mechanical legs and a long prehensile neck supports a large head with a formidable sharp beak.
