The Throne of Telltaris

After 2000 years since the Decent and the End of the Age of Prosperity Telltaris a once prosperous and mighty Empire has begun to crack at the edges. The Nine Kingdoms are rife with power struggles and whispers of secession from the Empire at the highest levels of power. No longer receiving guidance from the Nine Kings, the Gods of the Second Age; The Dignitaries, High Lords, and Arbitrators fight amongst themselves for positions of higher power chasing after the soiled scraps of the Emperor's great work. While at the same time the Empire faces an altogether greater threat than any it has seen before. A unified group of monsters and alien creatures have begun attacking cities and churches across Telltaris threatening to invade the Empire from below. These creatures march under the unified banner of the Twisted Ones and their goals are unknown but the effect they have created on the world is far less mysterious.   Now the Gods of the Third Age have begun to maneuver Adventurers in order to protect their interests. You have been chosen. You will fight on the footsteps of the Capital. You will travel to the Nine Kingdoms gathering allies and fighting enemies to preserve the Empire and defeat the coming Invasion. Soaring through the skies atop a griffon as you and your party work to fight tooth and nail to preserve the world or usher it into a new age. The fate of Telltaris lies in your hands and the lives of those who call the Empire home rest on your shoulders.
