King Aharon David
History
Before Kinghood
Aharon David was the youngest of six siblings, all of whom tragically perished before he reached the age of fifteen, leaving him as the unexpected heir.
As a child, Aharon was known for his stoic demeanor, often lost in thought, quick to anger, yet just as swift to reconsider. He lacked the fierce physicality of his kin but possessed a mind sharp as a blade.
At the age of twenty, in the year of our gods 770 SC, his father succumbed to a sudden and mysterious illness. With little warning, Aharon found himself thrust onto the throne at a young age, burdened with the weight of his family's legacy.
After Kinghood
The history books remember his reign as an island of peace amid the constant clashes of the dwarven realms.
In 780 SC, King Aharon signed a peace treaty with King Abas Jorden, an act that briefly stilled the turmoil and marked a rare moment of unity between rival dwarven houses.
The Drow's invasion
When Lokaruis united the Winter Lands and launched his assault on Sander, it was King Aharon David who first sought out King Abas Jorden, urging him to set aside old grudges and aid Sander in his time of need. Yet, the king refused, entrenched in long-standing rivalries.
But in 784 SC, when the threat could no longer be ignored, King Aharon David and King Aharkon I gathered at David Pact with King Abas Jorden. There, they signed the Treaty of Unification, an alliance that would forever change the fate of the dwarven realms. Without delay, they led their combined forces to march on Sander, breaking the siege and striking down Lokaruis in a legendary battle that echoed through dwarven history.
The United Pacts of Iron
In 785 SC, at the age of 35, King Aharon David solidified his legacy by signing the Second Treaty of Unification. This monumental pact united the rival dwarven families into a single, cohesive kingdom. Under this treaty, the four royal houses would each retain their crowns, yet all would swear fealty to a single Greater King, forging a powerful alliance. This act of unity created the foundation of the dwarven realm as it is known today—a kingdom with four kings under one ruler, bound by shared loyalty and purpose.
Personal Life
At the age of 40, King Aharon David married a scarlet-haired lady named Maaya from the esteemed House of Orel. Together, they had three daughters: Orella, Michaella, and Odelya. However, fate dealt a cruel hand, and Maaya tragically passed away while giving birth to Odelya. Many years later, in 817 SC, King Aharon, now at the advanced age of 67, took a second wife. From this union, he was finally blessed with a male heir, a son named Yonatan David, securing his royal lineage for generations to come.
Death and Legacy
King Aharon David passed away peacefully in the year 830 SC, at the venerable age of 80, after a life marked by diplomacy, resilience, and a steadfast dedication to his kingdom. His reign left an indelible legacy, for he was a ruler who rose to power under tragic circumstances yet guided his people through some of their most challenging years.
King Aharon's death marked the end of a significant chapter in the dwarven kingdom’s history. His legacy endured through the peace treaties he established, the unity he fostered, and the family he left behind.
