Session 32 CSS Shenanigan's First Pirate Mission. Report
General Summary
The Crew of the Shenanigans and the newly hired crew of the Black Tortuga depart Theev depart an hour apart with a meeting planned in the parsec known as 2118 where there is a hidden fuel location for the pirates of Theev to use. The week traveling in Jump space is highlighted by Margaret Blaine giving some advice to the commodore and Jean Paul on the art of piracy and staying alive. Some of the advice given was cultivating contacts and friends, and build an intelligence network. Varying their raids and using multiple ships to confuse the Imperial Navy and the different Pirate hunters that may be hired to look for them. Once in the system Margaret informed the crew that she will be traveling with Black Tortuga and suggested jumping to the gas giant to avoid being picked up by Marduk's systems. She suggested that they use the Shenanigans to go to Marduk to gather intel on the system get hired by GeDeCo to pick up local freight from other planets in the system so that they don't draw attentions to themselves for being in the system that way once the raid is pulled of you have a ship to put the contraband on with out drawing attention hopefully. While fueling the Shenanigans Captain Lucas fumbled the hook up of the fuel lines to the ship which caused him to take a shot of liquid hydrogen jettison him to the deep void at a good rate of speed. The crew came up with some ideas to rescue him before it was to late. Vlad sending a repair drone after him was able to stop Lucas but at a cost of three hours of oxygen and a leak in the suit. Captain Lucas was able to seal of the torn suit but at a cost as his skin as permanent Pockmarks all over his skin due to the exposure to the void. Some fancy piloting skills once again by Jean Paul Pierre was able to save captain Lucas from a very painful and lonely death. Black Tortuga arrived first at the gas giant and started to refuel. While doing this process dipping in and out of the gas giant the Mdrives were damaged with about 60 hours to get it repaired. The Shenanigans arrived in Marduk where they were welcome back with open arms and refueled themselves with a discount of credits only paing 100 credits vs the standard 500 credits for refined fuel. The crew went planetside to collect there credits for the freight and passengers that were brought to Marduk. Commodore Denniston arranged contracts with GeDeCo for picking up local freight. Using his former broker skills and getting into the computer he was able to determine that the CSS Cicendai would be arriving in the system with in the next 12 days. As advice by Margaret he picked up the local IngSoc Today new paper looking up the local business section looking for information. Then went into the systems collecting freight from the other seven planets in the system keeping an eye out for the CSS Cicendai arrival in the system and earning some credits for the crews. According to intel reports that were given to Margaret before there departure from theev said that the Cicendai would jump to the gas system to avoid detection due to the illegal contraband on the ship. Now the waiting game is on.
