The Heavenly Light - Little Kua
The skylight at the top of the cave is the exact opposite of the Shambles with its clean and structured architecture. Its popular name “Heavenly Light” refers to the fact that the wide opening in the roof of the dome is the main light source for the cave. Trickling down from, soft light spreads over the labyrinth of walkways and suspension bridges below. The actual light source is a sphere at the top of the cave, called “Little Kua”, created by the Founders. On the bridges, there are all kinds of cafes, small taverns, joy houses and occasional restaurants. Several small balconies hang from the bridges, covered in vines, roses, aerial lotus and other exotic flowers. Some balconies can detach from the bridges and float in the air like woven islands of steel, powered by gravity generators. These floating islands are named after their influential owners, such as Nasar Armile Pecht and the Khan-Yasouli shipowner. The Heavenly Light balconies are a common meeting place for the countless spies and agents moving on Djachroum. A little away from the bridges, Sharma's kitchen is partially set into the cave roof. It is widely known for its delicate dishes and inventive cooks, foremost Sharma Kuutan. Getting food cooked by Sharma is an honour, preserve of the richest.
