Playable Ancestries
You could be an Elf: You are in the majority. The Dynasty has always been Elven and, regardless of what subrace you may belong to, you will be accepted more and treated better than most others.
You could be a Gnome: You are likely a refugee from the Skeggar Isles. Even if you're not, people will assume you are. The elite will respect you, but the lower classes will often harbour a small resentment for the damages your people have done.
You could be a Human: Humans are rare, as they often can't keep up with a society built around such drastically longer lifespans. You are probably a descendant of a family that has been here for many generations and was respected; perhaps given aid enough to stay by some nobility. It is likely some Elves in positions of power knew your ancestors personally.
You could be a Dwarf: You aren't hated, so much as you are misunderstood. You function so differently from Elves that many simply do not know how to interact with you beyond basic conversation. This place is harsh for a Dwarf to live in but, then again, you're not exactly known for your willingness to have a change of mind.
You could be a Half-Elf: The way you are treated varies wildly from person to person. Some take pity, some treat you like an abomination. The majority, however, treat you much like a human, though they may be slightly more likely to cooperate with you or offer you better deals.
You could be a Half-Orc: The reaction of any given person to Half-Orcs, much like Half-Elves, is unpredictable. Many see you as a brute, incapable of delicacy, and will often outright refuse services to you. You are also, however, likely easily trusted, as many don't believe Orcs to be smart enough to lie or deceive.
You could be a Kobold: Kobolds are very often seen as vermin in many kingdoms. The Dynasty isn't much different. You will likely be seen as a harbinger of a dragon threat or, if you're not quite as violent, a lost rat that somehow found its way into the settlement. If you travel with an Elf, it's possible you could be mistaken for a pet.
