Blackstaff of Waterdeep Vajra Safahr
Vajra Safahr is the seventh and current Blackstaff of Waterdeep and a member of the secretive Hand of Mana.
History
Vajra was born in Chult in 1455, and moved to Waterdeep where she rose to the position of Blackstaff in 1479, the youngest Blackstaff in history. During the Great Dragon War, Vajra assisted the Breadwinners and the Council of Waterdeep throughout the war. In Uktar of 1496, Vajra met the Heroes of Saltmarsh when it came to her attention that the Banesmark had resurfaced and her fellow Hand of Mana member Brisk had been killed and revived. She first met with the Heroes undercover to guage their character, deciding that the Heroes could be trusted to continue dealing with the Banesmark Crisis while she was engaged in inter-planar affairs. Following the attack on the Neveren Trade Fleet, Vajra dispatched members of the Blackstaves to Saltmarsh to magically remove Banesmarks from afflicted Marshers.
