Unity Tribute

Unity Tributes were small shrines located throughout Elturel from the mid to late 15th century, depicting either the Companion or the twin sun heraldry of the Order of the Companion.
It was common practice in Elturel to leave effigies of oneself at a Unity Tribute. This was started by the knights of Elturel who wanted to ensure they would always be under the Companion's light, even when away from the city. The practice was soon taken up by merchants and eventually the general populace, even when not traveling. Unity Tributes could be found throughout the city, including inside or outside most of the city's temples.
After the damnation and subsequent salvation of Elturel, Unity Tributes were abandoned when the truth of the Companion, its infernal origins and role in the city's near destruction, was revealed.
