Swamp Wolf

The terrifying and ginormous swamp wolves are found deep within the Mere of Dead Men. Legend has it the swamp wolves were once regular canines transformed by insidious swamp magic.

Anatomy

Swamp wolves resemble normal wolves in shape, but not in size. The swamp wolves can grow up to 9 feet in height and weigh upwards of 1,000 pounds. Their swampy coloring allows them to hide in with ease.

Ecology and Habitats

Swamp wolves, as the name would suggest, are found in swamps and bogs across Faerun. On rare occasions, they have been noted to travel outside of such habitats, but only to forage for food when scarce.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Swamp wolves are predators, able to take down even the largest swamp creatures, and scavengers when necessary.

Similar to normal wolves, swamp wolves have an excellent sense of smell, able to track their prey for miles.
