Solars are the most powerful species of angels, and thereby celestials, who served at the behest of their chosen diety.
Solars most often resembled a large humanoid with brilliant wings and glowing eyes. Their command of magic and martial power was known and feared by evil beings across all the planes, and the appearance of a Solar was enough to frighten even the strongest devils and demons.
