Personal history

My name is Eldrin Iymbryl, I am a hunter. I was raised in Lus Na Glas, an Elven city to the south of Destria, but born in a small village within the forests around Lus Na Glas. These forests around my home village are full of all manner of creatures, both natural and sometimes even seemingly unnatural, this requires the men of our village be trained as hunters. We have honed our skills to the point of being known as some of the greatest hunters of this time. Unfortunately though, that wasn't enough. The creatures that came out of the forest also grew in strength and number as we did. The inevitable time came in my 30th year that they surpassed us in strength and we had to leave or risk losing everything. We all agreed to move to the local Elven city of Lus Na Glas, with whom we were close trade partners. We would help lower the forest's threats and they in-turn would thank us with items that we could not get in our small village home.
The people of Lus Na Glas were glad to have us and together we forged a new era of growth for their city. My father being the captain of the guard, I was destined to be a great hunter from birth. Having been trained in archery since the age of 5, the bow is nothing but a pure extension of who I am. I was a protege once, someone with so much potential to help the people of my town. One fateful day though in my 128th year, my father and I were on a trip to visit the city of Glossop, just north of us, to help strengthen the bond between our two cities. My father was killed that day as a hidden bandit archer shot him and hit an artery. I was terrified and was unable able to save him or the rest of the party. I played dead, laying by my father's side. I realized then and there that I was nothing. All the training, all the time spent honing my craft, and I was laying on the ground afraid someone would just look at me for too long. By the time they left, I had decided that I had learned all I could from Lus Na Glas.
I stood up, cleaned myself off, buried my father, and with one final look back in the direction of Lus Na Glas, I started my walk North. This time though I wasn't headed to Glossop, but to Ardil, the land of adventures. I would never let something like this happen to me again. With newfound strength, I realized that I had so much more to overcome before I could truly become not just a hunter but a defender and protector of what is right. This was just step one. My name Eldrin Iymbryl, I am an adventurer.

Great hunter of Lus Na Glas looking for a new path in life. Trained in archery as a young boy. After the death of his father, which he felt accountable for, he decided to become an adventurer so something like that never happens to him again.
