Choira, the Vermin Queen

Choira is the every hungering goddess of vermin, who spreads plagues to weaken nations before sending in her swarms to consume them. The signs that Choira has ravaged an area a clear, as all that will be left is a barren wasteland, everything having been consumed by her swarms. Choira herself takes the form of a large, engorged, piglike humanoid wearing worn clothing and constantly covered by a stream of rats, bugs, and other pests and vermin.
Choira is a destructive goddess, spreading plague and disease throughout a land to weaken its people, leaving them ripe for attack. As her plagues leave gaps in her targets defenses, Choira strives to fill those gaps with her swarms, which infiltrate the land and build hidden nests, feeding and growing in secret. When the time is right, these nests burst forth and consume all they come across. At the same time, Choira will send in armies of monsters and mutated creatures to further spread destruction. When her beasts have finished consuming all the inhabitants of an area they turn on the natural world, feasting on the plants and animals until the land is left a barren waste. Finally her Choira's forces turn on each other, devouring each other as they send their essence back to Choira, who then prepares her next attack. The creatures Choira makes are given bizarre mutations, and unnatural abilities, most terrifyingly of all is their ability to rend apart the souls of the people they consume, devouring their very lifeforce and storing it for when their invasion is done and it is time to send it to Choira.
Choira is the embodiment of needless consumption and rampant growth. She draws to her the most wasteful and excess driven members of society. Those who wish for nothing, but to consume and revel in their own excess. She targets those individuals, and warps their bodies and minds. Over time those who turn to Choira become hosts for her swarms, and eventually food for them as well. Very few creatures willingly offer themselves to her. Instead she has her minions capture and experiment on victims. Testing out different plagues and poisons, creating different haphazard monstrosities, and finding new ways to break their minds. Those few who do choose to worship Choira are almost entirely insane, but they do play a valuable role as leaders, for Choiras swarms are able to cause destruction, but they still need a mind that can direct them. Worshippers of Choira usually come from bands of monstrous humanoids, who worship her as a queen of monsters.
